Pioneer Plumbing: Vision & Early Days
Pioneer Plumbing Heating & Cooling was founded in 1981 by Mike and Ginny Motzkin with a vision:
To be the most honest and ethical trade partner of choice, providing superior service and materials to residential and commercial construction industries while fostering a work environment that encourages new ideas, innovations and growth.
Together, they have made many sacrifices and started our company with a high level of ambition and hope, and one vehicle… a Volkswagen Bug. Mike treated every customer as if they were his own parents and with Ginny‘s hard work, organizational skills and dedication, the business expanded.
With new growth came the need for a strong and dedicated manager with the same vision and commitment to excellence. In 1987, Jim Foster joined us as the General Manager and still oversees all operational aspects of Pioneer Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Inc. today.
Company Growth
While operating out of the Motzkin’s home on the northwest side of Tucson until 1992, we grew to five fully-stocked service trucks and eight employees. With plans of further expansion, Pioneer Plumbing Heating & Cooling purchased a new fleet of trucks and moved to central Tucson, on Drachman St, in order to serve Southern Arizona better.
Operating under the principles of honesty, integrity, respect and pride, Pioneer Plumbing Heating & Cooling grew to nine trucks and fifteen employees in 2005. That same year, we moved out of our Drachman offices and into a brand new facility located near Park and Valencia.
With the expanded facilities and additional infrastructure, the company created two new department: HVAC Services, and Construction Services.
Today: Always Ready for Your Calls
We currently have 15 service trucks and an average of 30 employees to handle the plumbing, construction, and HVAC needs of our customers.
All of our employees pass a background check, drug test and provide proof of a good driving record before they are hired. We regularly hold continuing education and safety meetings to ensure our employees always have safety in mind and are properly trained to handle any job.
